Happy Groundhog Day!

This week we celebrate Groundhog Day. Not the movie with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell (which was TERRIFIC, by the way), but the actual holiday commemorated every year in the United States and Canada on February 2.
According to folklore, if a groundhog does not see his shadow when emerging from his burrow, winter will soon end. But if he sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter. The largest and most popular Groundhog Day celebration takes place in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, which has honored the holiday since 1886. The town has named their groundhog Punxsutawney Phil. Fans say there is only one Punxsutawney Phil who has been making weather prognostications for over 120 years. Every summer he is given a sip of mysterious Groundhog Punch that extends his life for seven years.

Why was the groundhog depressed about his den?
He was having a bad lair day.
