Nothing tastes better than home grown tomatoes; my favorite garden vegetable. I grow my own because most store-bought tomatoes taste like cardboard. No, I take that back. Cardboard has more flavor. Just between you and me, I have a secret for growing the biggest and best-tasting tomatoes ever: Once a week, read your tomato plant a bedtime story. "Jack and the Beanstalk" is highly recommended. Hearing about the rapid growth of the beanstalk will inspire your plant and you'll be eating delicious BLTs in no time.

Why did the tomato blush?
Because it saw a salad dressing.

Hi, Carly:
I'm a tomato grower, too. I will definitely try reading to them. It can't hurt. Maybe instead of "Jack and Beanstalk," I'll try "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn."
BTW: You might want to add some cute cherry tomato earrings to your collection? LOL
