I love this time of year. Last weekend our local community celebrated the lighting of the city Christmas Tree with carolers and holiday fun. One of the "sweetest" activities was the annual Gingerbread House contest. Open to young and old alike, the contest is a family event. It's amazing to see these delightful creations made of gingerbread, marshmallows, peppermint sticks and other sugary delights. A festive time was had by all.
